Freedom PM is a service offered by Freedom RV Service providing "Preventative Maintenance" for your major appliances installed by the manufacturer of your RV.
The manufacturers of the appliances and accessories used in the construction of your RV have recommended service intervals which are designed help prevent problems you may encounter while enjoying the RV lifestyle. These items are numerous and include the following; Air Conditioner, Furnace, Water Heater, Refrigerator, Generator, 120 Volt A.C. Electrical System, 12 Volt D.C. Electrical System, Inverter, Batteries, Propane System, Smoke and CO2 Detectors to mention a few!
Service intervals vary from twice annually to every two years for many of these products. Consult your owner’s manual for more details.

Air Conditioner PM Service:
RV Air Conditioning Preventative Maintenance Service *:
Perform a cooling performance test following the manufacturers’ guideline. Check AC Voltage to RV and Test for Hot Skin. Check air temperature drop across the evaporator coil. Check compressor voltage. Check compressor amperage. Check operation of heat pump (if equipped). Remove/clean/replace A/C filters. Check A/C roof gasket for condition. Re-torque mounting bolts as needed. Check for proper installation of roof/air-box seal. Check for proper installation of return air seal. Check for proper installation of discharge duct seal. Check for proper air flow. Inspect and vacuum evaporator coil. Examine shroud/cover for cracks/damage. Inspect and vacuum condenser coil. Inspect for damaged/bent condenser fins. Clean/unclog drain holes in drain pan. Please Note: The above service must be performed at an ambient temperature of 75˚ or higher! Also; Any additional parts like replacement filters, roof gasket, etc., are additional cost
RV Furnace Preventative Maintenance (PM) Service *:
*Most of the steps in the furnace cleaning service require the furnace to be removed from the RV. Prior to removing the furnace for cleaning, verify proper voltage and LP gas operating pressure to the furnace. Test furnace unit for proper operation. Removal of the furnace from the RV. Inspect Duct Work and Hoses. Disassemble and Inspect the following: Electrode assembly - Clean and adjust. Main Burner and Main Burner Orifice - Clean. Inspect Blower Wheel. Printed circuit board - Test module board. Check all Electrical Connections. Clean and Inspect Combustion Chamber. Clean and Inspect Vent Tubes and Outer Housing. Inspect Fan Motor. Reassemble Furnace. Test unit for proper operation. Reinstall Furnace in RV. Test for LP leaks at Furnace. Test Thermostat. Please Note: Any additional parts that may be required are not included in the PM Service fee.
RV Refrigerator Preventative Maintenance (PM) Service *:
Verify refrigerator is properly installed, baffled and vented. Clean and adjust burner, flue and orifice assembly. Clean and check all terminal connections. Clean and inspect all ground connections. Inspect and Test Door Seals. Check for proper LP gas pressure and adjust as needed. Test for LP Leaks at Refrigerator. Check power ventilator/cooling unit fan (if equipped). Verify LP gas safety shutdown in 45 seconds. Check electrode gap. Check thermistor reading. Check DC voltage. Check AC voltage, Test for Hot Skin. Test thermocouple (if equipped). Inspect Ice-maker water valve and all connections (if equipped). Inspect Ice-maker heat tape switch for proper operation (if equipped). Please Note: Any additional parts that may be required are not included in the PM Service fee.
RV Water Heater Preventative Maintenance (PM) Service *:
Verify proper AC and DC voltage, Test for Hot Skin. Connect Manometer and verify proper LP gas pressure. Test for LP Leaks at water heater. Verify proper direction of water heater by-pass valves (if equipped). Drain and flush water tank. Check condition of anode rod (if equipped). Refill water heater tank and verify operation of T&P Relief Valve, Re-establish air head. Clean main burner and main burner orifice. Clean and test thermocouple (if equipped). Clean, inspect and adjust electrode assembly. Clean flue tube and exhaust vent. Clean, inspect and test D.S.I. circuit board (if equipped). Verify continuity and operation of 120 Volt AC electric heating element (if equipped). Inspect all electrical connections. Test unit for proper operation. Please Note: Any additional parts that may be required are not included in the PM Service fee.
